March 23 – 8U only

The Youth Spacemen Spring Travel Season includes practices, games, and tournaments designed to elevate your player’s skills. Practices will focus on small area games and essential game concepts such as breakout skills, forechecking, offensive and defensive zone tactics, and special teams. Our professional coaching staff will lead practices and assign coaches for tournament play. Each player will receive a jersey, a set of socks, 12 practices, and 2 tournaments, with full ice time for U8.

  Detroit, Michigan – April 25-27
• PSM Icehouse – Spring Showdown
  Fort Wayne, Indiana – May 2-4

PRACTICES:
6 TOTAL practices per team*
Dates: April 9 – May 1

FEES:
$600 per player

TRYOUTS:
$25 per player – Please register in advance
Tryout fee goes towards team fees for players who earn a spot on the team.

Meet Our Amazing Coaching Team!Let’s introduce you to the fantastic coaches who’ll be guiding our young hockey stars:

8U: Parker “Winky” Ray
Parker, affectionately known as “Winky,” is a former Spacemen Junior hockey player who’s been sharing his passion with our youth programs for nearly five years. His experience on the ice and dedication to nurturing young talent make him a perfect fit for our littlest skaters!

10U: David Brancik
Hailing from the Czech Republic, David brings a wealth of international experience to our rink. Having recently hung up his professional skates after an impressive 8-year career, he’s excited to pass on his knowledge to the next generation of hockey enthusiasts.

12U: Preston Ray
Preston is not just any coach – he’s our very own hockey whiz! As the current manager of youth and adult hockey leagues at PSM Icehouse, he knows the game inside and out. With a college hockey background and a degree from IPFW, Preston has spent over a decade coaching players of all ages and skill levels.

14U: Cameron Wirick
Cameron wears many hats – and wears them well! He’s the Head Coach of the Spacemen Elite team and the Hockey Director at PSM Icehouse. His journey through junior and college hockey, culminating in a degree from Indiana Tech, has prepared him perfectly for molding our teenage players into true athletes.

16U: Kaleigh Schrock
Last but certainly not least, we have Kaleigh – a true local legend! As a former Captain and Hall of Fame inductee of the Fort Wayne Komets, Kaleigh brings unparalleled leadership and experience to the ice. Currently, he’s leading the charge as the head coach for the Spacemen Premier Junior hockey team. Our older players are in for some world-class training!

With this stellar lineup of coaches, our young players are sure to have an incredible season full of growth, fun, and plenty of ice time!
